We have officially gotten word from the OR that Ry's new heart is in and is beating! She will still be back for a couple of hours while they control the bleeding and close things up. We will get to have a peek at her as she's wheeled back to her room. I can't wait to see her pink cheeks!!
It will be much later this afternoon before she is settled in a room and we can actually be with her.
Please continue your prayers! I hope to post more good news very soon.

Oh WoW, I was eating lunch & just about choked on my food when I saw this! I am truly at a loss for words right now, all I can say is God does listen. He hears our crys for help. He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. He is with Rylynn right now. May he also give the donor family a sense of comfort in knowing they saved a life today, wow...what a day for you guys!!!!

I started reading your blog back in July when Kelly's Korner listed several children/families that needed prayers. Everyday since July 23rd I have checked on Rylynn at least once a day! I was so happy (and a little nervous for you all) when I read your update this morning. I will continue to pray for Rylynn and her new, special heart, also for you... her amazing family, and for the family that is grieving for their precious angel.

This is been a remarkable day for you, Gilly and Ry. When I drove past children's med center today, my eyes teared up and I got goose bumps knowing there was a life saving operation going on right then!! We are thrilled to hear that Ry has a new heart and a new chance at life. God love the precious family that made the selfless decision to donate. I would have done the exact same thing had my child died. There is nothing better than the ability to give life. God speed to the tireless transplant team and the entire medical team at Children's. We are just over the moon that Ry has a new heart! Many prayers and hugs to you, Gilly and Ry. We live about 45 minutes from the hospital and hope we can come by for a visit sometime soon!

I am so excited for Rylynn that she was able to get the special angel heart everyone has been praying for for a long time. I had tears in my eye's when I read your blog this morning. I hope and pray that her body accepts the heart and that she can live a normal life that she so deserves. She is such a fighter and held on long enough for God to answer our prayers.
